Can live with dogs: No
Can live with cats: No

Wally is a handsome 5 year old lurcher. He is neutered, chipped and vaccinated.

Wally has been in our care for quite some time now and is one of our long stay dogs. He is now ready to find an experienced home.

Wally is a sweet boy. He is full of life and energy. He absolutely loves to play and is super intelligent. He would thrive in a home with a regular routine and lots of things to keep him busy. He is fast to learn and loves using his brain. Wally’s favourite thing is water and he loves a swim!

Wally does have a bite history and has had a few issues around being over handled, but absolutely loves a cuddle and a tummy tickle! He has redirected to his handler when frustrated on walks but these episodes are few and far between 99% of the time he walks like a dream.

Whilst Wally does have a bite history his incidents are few and far between with clear triggers. Wally has not had a bite incident in almost 3 years! Wally is such a super playful, happy boy we won’t let his past ruin his future!

Wally would like a pet free, child free home with someone with large breed dog experience. He is such an amazing boy who deserves the right home. Wally would happily have dog friends on a walk and quite enjoys walking with his friends.

We will always provide training and support for this amazing boy. He is a firm favourite amongst our volunteers!!!

** MOJO **
Age: 5 years
Breed: Spaniel
Gender: Male
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: No, could have walking friends
Can live with cats: No

Mojo is a stunning Spaniel who is looking for an experienced home. He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Mojo is a sweet boy who loves to let down his fur, play, and sniff his way everywhere. He is a real foody and this is a great way to earn his trust, but can grab treats so watch those fingers!

Food is a good way to make friends with Mojo as sadly he has had some issues that have led to him being in rescue. He’s a little bit of a Victor Meldrew at times and likes his own space.

He is looking for a patient, gently owner who will take the time to get to know Mojo at Mojo’s own pace.

Mojo loves a walk but can’t be let off the lead, in true Spaniel style he’ll follow his nose, forgetting he has ears!

He does, however, love the enclosed field and will run around like a lunatic expelling any energy. This is a time for you to relax as Mojo just wants to do his thing and sniff everywhere. You don’t have to entertain him much. An occasional ball throw maybe. He loves a cuddle and will happily show you how much he loves you but this is on his terms. He likes to initiate cuddle time!

Mojo will happily jump in the car but does get protective of the car/crate when it comes to getting him back out. He can also be protective of his toys and bed in a home so needs his own personal Mojo bed space where he can take himself off to for some Mojo time.

Don’t worry, he’ll soon pop out of there if you call him. (Especially if he thinks there’s something yummy to be had)

Unfortunately, if you do push Mojo he will push back with his teeth. We will show you and work with you to learn Mojo’s quirks and the best way to manage him. You could start by coming to meet him and taking him for a walk.

Mojo doesn’t need too much grooming but what he does need will continue to be done by us, free of charge for life, as he’s not a fan of a pampering session.

Mojo will need a pet free adult only home. He really is a beautiful quirky boy who would be a fabulous companion in the right home. Whilst he would like to be the only pet he could have dog friends to go on walks with.

Could you be his final forever home?

To apply for Mojo please submit an application form linked below.

Breed: Staffie x Lab (Staffie sized)
Gender: Female
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: No
Can live with cats: No

Lulu is a beautiful lab x Staffie. She is a dinky girl who has had a difficult upbringing and unfortunately lots of homes! She came into our care after not getting along with the dog in her previous home. Lulu is microchipped and vaccinated however has not had a first season so isn’t neutered; she will go home with a neutering contract!

Lulu is a sweet girl. She is so full of love and absolutely adores everyone she meets. She is full of bum wiggles and happy dances. She absolutely loves to play and let off steam in our enclosed paddock.

Lulu loves to learn and is very receptive to training especially when food is involved!

Lulu is a little whirlwind of a dog who needs an experienced owner who can help tame her wild ways. She has so much excitement and love to give she often forgets herself and greets people with enthusiasm and a bit of mouthing. Off lead she is good with dogs however on lead she is a bit of a Tasmanian devil! But it’s all part of her amazing, crazy personality.

Could you offer this gorgeous girl a loving forever home?

Breed: French Bulldog
Gender: Male
Can live with children: No
Can live with dogs: a laid back dog.
Can live with cats: No

Reggie came into our care after his owner could no longer meet his needs. He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and is currently recovering from BOAS surgery to help him breathe better.

Reggie is a lovely boy who absolutely loves the people he trusts and is happy for lots of fuss by them. He loves to play and really enjoys a walk. He is learning to walk nicely on a lead but his recall is a work in progress!

Reggie is a quirky boy and whilst he is absolutely amazing he does have a few issues. Reggie will cuddle and play with the people he knows and is the best boy. However he does not like people in his house he doesn’t know. Reggie does have a bite history however his dislike to visitors can be easily managed. Reggie is crate trained and will happily stay in his crate with a Kong whilst visitors are at his house.

Reggie is an amazing boy who has shown no malice in kennels. He thrives on regular walks and routine. Reggie does need to be muzzled at the vets as he isn’t the biggest fan of them!

Can live with cats: No

Leo is looking for an active home with owners who want to do something with him. He would like to live with another playful dog that will help keep him occupied.

Leo can get over stimulated very quickly and has a tendency to forget himself and become very mouthy especially jumping up and grabbing arms.

Leo is an absolute love bug and craves attention. He would benefit from a canine pal to help burn some of his energy. He is looking for an experienced home who will carry on his training. He would like a child and cat free home.

Poor Leo has so much pent up energy in a kennel environment he is a coiled spring, we feel he would settle down quite a bit simply from being in a home environment.

SPECIAL HOME NEEDED!!!

Age: 10 months
Breed: Whippet cross
Gender: Female
Can live with children: 12+
Can live with dogs: yes, a calm dog
Can live with cats: Dog savvy cats

Betty is our beautiful whippet cross. She was left abandoned on a roundabout with a broken leg. She is vaccinated and chipped but too young to neuter.

Betty has not had the best start in life and due to her change in medical needs she has had a few different foster homes but is now back in kennels.

Betty is a wonderful girl. She is super friendly and loves everyone. She gets very excited when meeting people and her whole body wriggles in excitement.

Betty gets on well with other dogs, she can be vocal at first but soon settles down. She has so far shown no malice towards cats.

The type of home Betty needs:

We will go through Betty’s medical needs in more detail to any potential home.

Betty needs a home with an older dog or someone around all of the time. She must be kept on lead in the garden and have only 2-3 10 minute walks a day (this will go to normal walks but in the future). She needs a home where she can remain on crate rest/on a lead in the house for a few months whilst she heals.

Betty can live with children 12+ who understand she cannot be jumping around all the time. She would like to live with an older or very calm dog and could live with a dog savvy cat.

Betty needs to remain at Debenham vets whilst her leg heals and we will cover all medical needs relating to that leg until she is discharged.
